Each Gripe posted by the User will have its own individual Google Adword campaign, should the User select the Google Adword option on sign-up or anytime thereafter. The Google Adword campaign will be loaded within 48 hours of sign-up with the Provider. By the User selecting this option he/she/it acknowledges that the Provider will have the sole right to access and manage the campaign. The User will not be permitted access to the "back office" workings of the campaign under any circumstances. The Provider does not guarantee any results or effectiveness implied or otherwise from the use of the campaign, but will endeavour to make the campaign as effective as possible. A portion of the subscription fee for the Google Adword campaign will be directed towards the maintenance and administration of the User"s campaign. The User shall be entitled to approximately 14 days "(the period") worth of advertising in sponsored links by using the campaign. Once the period has been reached, the User"s Google Adword campaign assigned for that particular Gripe will be suspended pending renewal of the subscription fee, such renewal will be for the User"s responsibility. Should the User elect not to renew the subscription for that particular Gripe, the Adword campaign for the Gripe referred to will automatically be terminated by the Provider. Virtual Card Services ("VCS") The Provider uses the services of VCS as its e-commerce shop. The Provider cannot guarantee any further warranties, guarantees, disclaimers, privacy issues or the like than those offered by VCS. The Provider subscribes to the Terms and Conditions of use of the VCS E-Commerce service. Vodacom Are you Just Too Big To Care ? This is Not Customer Service

            or four and a half years, I have been trying to get Vodacom to sort out the connection problems in Northriding. I have a 3G 1Gig data contract, a talk 1000 cell phone contract & a business cell contract with a 500Mb data bundle tacked on. I pay Vodacom in excess of R2000 per month for all the above and one would have thought that they would care...... Not a chance!!! It took them 2 years to come and put a Yagi antenna on my roof to improve the non-existent 3G connectivity, with numerous promises that they were looking into the problem in the area and that it would be resolved soon. No such luck. I threw all my toys out of the cot about two months ago and went into VodaWorld to speak to a consultant face to face, (silly me, thinking it would be quicker.... ) anyway, I told them I wanted to cancel my contracts due to non-provision of service and that I wanted the debit orders stopped. They did not even respond for three weeks, then they sent somebody out to the house to "check the signal" he said "eish, it is bad. I will have to get somebody else to sort it out" That was a month ago and not a peep out of Vodacom.

Fastest Medical Response?

            e would like to compliment Hatzolah, one of the fastest medical emergency response services in the city, for helping transfer 96 babies to the Garden City Clinic for treatment. 

   News papers constantly make us aware that we face the crisis of a strike having left patients high and dry as services have shut down and patients are being turned away from hospitals. A visit to the Sebokeng Hospital in the Vaal proved just that writes Ayanda Yeni. 

   We are well aware that if the striking does not end, there will be continued upheaval and a lack of good care and service especially in health and wellness. 
   
   Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Lindiwe Sisulu has also urged health workers to return to work.

EcMac I-Phone Servicing Rip Off

             recently bought an I-Phone overseas and when I returned to South-Africa I found that the phone was locked and could not be used with a local sim card.

   I found the ecMac store online and called them up to see if they could help me unlock it, because they work with I-Phones and similar products.

   I was told on the phone that they could unlock it for me and that it would cost me R700-R800. So I dropped my phone off with their technician who said it wont be a problem to unlock.

Victim Kills Hijacker .....

News24 brought to our attention that Tuesday night last week the victim of a hijacking near Ivory Park, Johannesburg shot and killed one of his three attackers, using their gun and the victim is being charged with murder!!! One of the hijackers was wounded and taken to Tembisa hospital and would only be appearing in court on charges of attempted robbery and possession of an illegal firearm if he recovered. Kwik Fit Ripp Off

             took my car in to the Northrand Road Kwik Fit to have a rattling noise on the front suspension repaired.

The previous week I had the car at Speedy and they found the ball joints and tie-rod ends to be in order. They could, however, not find the problem.

Kwik Fit, without wasting time, identified the ball joints and tie-rod ends as the main culprits. I asked them whether the steering rack could be the problem as I could not feel any play on the ball joints and tie-rod ends. They replied that they could only determine that once the ball joints and tie-rod ends were replaced. For this I paid R1,500.00.

 Instead of new spares my old spares were refitted after they were "injected". When I complained about this they claimed that they explained the procedure to me, which they never did.

MTN Please Explain

             took out a MTN contract on the  16th April 2010 .  I received the phone on the 20th of April with a Tax Invoice stating the amount due 'NIL'. 

   I called MTN to activate the line. I used the phone until 24th of April and all of a sudden I can't use the phone as per MTN -  my line has been suspended. I called 173 Customer Care from another phone at about 9:30pm. After waiting 25 min before they answered ,

Iburst ...My Bubble !

             have a prepaid contract with Iburst which means that I prepay for the internet access every month. I also bough the modem outright just so that I d not have to be tied to any long-term contracts. Over the months I have been triple and double billed and have just received very poor connectivity. Their service has just been going down the toilet. 

So now I have decided to cancel my internet access from end of August 2010. Now they do not want my to do that and say that they cannot cancel my service until end of September due to some ridiculous rule of a calendar month's

ABSA Rejects Claimants Claim

            e had a break in at our townhouse in June.  The back door was badly damaged but the security gate was not damaged.  Assessor came out to the house and we explained that we might  have made an error and left security gate open THAT day.  ABSA insurance denied the claim, because “we had been in breach of contract by not keeping security up at townhouse”.  Does one error   (if it was us) mean that the full claim is denied?

We waited 3 weeks for feedback from company and then had to phone almost daily to try and get an answer from ABSA as to what was happening with claim.  We have emailed daily, phoned daily, when we did get hold of Linda Strauss (via email) she indicated that the letter had been posted to us.  Letter never received, yesterday 17/08/2010, we were told letter needed to still be signed by management.

What type of company is ABSA that it deals with its clients in this manner?
